A few laughs to brighten your day

I found a great book at the DI the other day. It is called Ten Copycats in a Boat and Other Riddles. I just thought I would share a few of the gems that are in it.
What is the longest word in the world?

Smiles. There is a mile between the first letter and the last letter.

Why shouldn't you tell secrets on a farm?

The corn has ears. The potatoes have eyes. And the beanstalk.

Where does Friday come before Thursday?

In the dictionary.

There are so many more, but I am having a hard time seeing the computer screen through the tears.

New dresses and Tubb's big mouth

I love to sew for my girls. We have a hard time finding dresses that are long enough for Miss M and so I told her that I would take her to pick out material for new dress that I would make. She felt bad that the others were not getting one so we found material for all three of them. I love what they picked out. Miss M and Beans picked thier material and I picked Sis S's to match. They looked so cute and I was so disappointed that Sis S and Beans had to come home sick from church. So here is a picture of their dresses and hopefully I can get them clean for next week.

Our latest exciting news is that I am pregnant. I am due in the middle of June. I wasn't going to tell anyone yet because it is so early, but apparently Tubbs could not keep a secret in the meeting this morning. We found out before conference sunday morning, so needless to say I was not really paying too close attention to at least the morning session. By the way Bugs, I am sorry, I totally lied to you when you aked me about being pregnant a few weeks ago when you came visiting teaching. Your question caught me off guard.

Welcome to the 20th Century

I am finally here (there). I mean in the 20th century. I finally got a dishwasher!!!!! I am washing dishes as I type, it is amazing. Tubbs and I have been going back and forth about one for as long as we have lived in this house. Here is a picture of the blessed thing.

Muppet Treasure

For family movie night this week I let Beans pick a movie from the library. She picked Muppet Treasure Island. I love the Muppets. I was so excited that she picked that. I was really hoping they would like it. Well, they didn't love it, in fact I didn't either. It was so dark and gloomy most of the time. The one great part was the professional pirate song. It was available for posting which makes me happy. My favorite Muppet movie is Muppet Christmas Carol. I put some of those songs on too.
